Foreword

Life is not a straight line, but a constellation of trajectories — intersecting, diverging, and converging in unexpected moments. This exhibition showcases the collaborative creations of Qin Chen and Dijun Sha (Qin & Dijun), whose dialogue explores the intersection of nature and technology, emotion and philosophy, and tradition and experiment.

Rooted in Daoist thought and nourished by intercultural exchange, their works question what jewellery can be: not merely adornment, but a language — a vessel of memory, a philosophy to be worn, a mirror through which we encounter both the world and ourselves.

Dijun extends jewellery beyond ornament, weaving technology, heritage, and storytelling into a new vocabulary that speaks simultaneously to the ancient and the yet-to-come. Qin, with her delicate, intangible heritage craftsmanship, seeks to dissolve the boundary between the tangible and intangible, daring herself to explore uncharted materials and unfamiliar techniques.

They are like two parallel lines: distant, unyielding, never meant to touch. Yet within the Trajectory series, these lines find resonance — meeting, sparking, aligning. From this convergence arises not just an exhibition, but a shared narrative, one that continues to unfold with us.
