Animism 蜉蝣
2026 Spring & Summer collection
Rooted in the Eastern philosophy that all things possess spirit, this concept draws inspiration from plankton—microscopic life forms that drift within natural currents. Invisible yet vital, they exist in a state of quiet coexistence, shaped by balance, interdependence, and flow.
This collection translates the transient nature of plankton into contemporary jewellery, with fluid, suspended forms that respond gently to the body and its movement. The refined use of sandalwood introduces a meditative material presence. Traditionally associated with calmness and grounding, sandalwood enhances sensory awareness and supports bodily and emotional well-being through intimate contact with the skin.
Handcrafted techniques are combined with digital processes, positioning each piece between material permanence and ephemerality. Rather than functioning solely as adornment, the jewellery invites a meditative encounter—encouraging stillness, attention, and reflection.
Through this work, jewellery becomes a contemplative medium, fostering a sense of coexistence between the wearer, the object, and the living environment. It reflects an Eastern understanding of life as interconnected and continuously transforming, where material, body, and spirit align in quiet harmony.
Inspired by 寄蜉蝣于天地, 渺沧海之一粟 by 苏轼(Su Shi), poet and writer in Song Dynasty, China.
